The “science of selected popular medical procedures in improving the aesthetic effects of ageing skin – how they work, the benefit and risk” will briefly introduce the pathophysiology of ageing skin and the medical including device based treatments for improving the condition of ageing skin. Selected modalities will be used to illustrate the science of these treatments including the rationale, scientific bases and relevant clinical trials as appropriate.
