Through the evolution and application of latest technology by the aviation industry, travelling by air is considered one of the safest means to commute around the globe. The lecture presents some of the science phenomena and technology behind flight operations including the principle of flight, air navigation technology adopted in instrument flight procedure (GNSS Landing Procedure) and air traffic management system design (Evolution of Air Traffic Management System in Hong Kong) to enhance operational efficiency and flight safety.
