Yuen Long Bypass Floodway is a 3.8km long large drainage channel built at the south of Yuen Long Town. The Bypass Floodway has incorporated a series of environmental designs to provide a natural riverbank with aesthetic and ecological value. A system of dry weather flow pumping station and inflatable dam is provided at the downstream end. Apart from visiting the Bypass Floodway, introduction of Village Flood Protection Scheme, the operation of San Tin Stormwater Pumping Station, as well as Floating Photovoltaic System and Floating Ecological Island set up in San Tin Stormwater Storage Pond will be included in the guided tour.

Remark:
1. Application will be arranged on a first-come-first-served basis. Despite the application is successful or not, all applicants will be notified individually.
2. The maximum no. of participants for each application is 4.
3. Participants must be 6 years old or older. Every participant aged 12 or below must be accompanied by at least one adult.
4. Transportation will be arranged by the DSD between Hong Kong Science Museum/Yuen Long and the DSD facilities.
5. If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted, or Red / Black Rainstorm Warning is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at 7AM on the date of the event, the event will be cancelled without further notification.
