If there were extraterrestrial intelligence in the Universe, how would you introduce Earth to them? Fifty years ago, astronomers installed gold-anodised aluminum plaques engraved with different symbols and patterns on the Pioneer spacecrafts to illustrate the characteristics of human beings, our location and era to the Universe. In this workshop, we will decode the messages carried by the Pioneer plaques, review their interstellar journey and utilise the science concepts behinds to create a pixel art of Jupiter.
