The lava lamp looks magical with its coloured bubbles sinking and rising. It is a model of what actually happens in Earth's mantle, and demonstrates convection currents which are the driving force of plate movement. In this workshop, the audience can make their own lava lamp and learn about the concept of density while enjoying some fizzing good fun!
