Upcycling Waste Residuals from Environmental Facilities into Value-added Eco-productsPhoto
The programme aims to enhance participants' knowledge of current technologies for the reuse and recycling of residual waste by introducing key concepts and examining local practices and recent research. Waste sludges (i.e. sewage sludge and alum sludge) and combustion by-products (i.e. bottom ash, fly ash and sewage sludge ash) collected from water and wastewater treatment plants, coal-fired power plants and incineration processes are recycled and transformed into value-added eco-products that meet technical and environmental standards.
