The combination of the hilly terrain and the high seasonal rainfall makes Hong Kong particularly prone to landslides. This talk first reviews the landslide history of Hong Kong, then discusses the causes of landslides and finally introduces the measures to reduce landslide risk under the Slope Safety System in Hong Kong.
