In recent years, we have already conducted many researches regarding the implementation of eco-shoreline in Hong Kong, in order to provide habitat for marine ecological animals, and enhances bio-diversity and ecosystem functions. Eco-shoreline is a win-win measure to incorporate ecological concepts into the design of an artificial shoreline. At the workshop led by CEDD and the research team, participants will gain practical experience making oyster shell strings, which is one of the win-win solution in ecological engineering. It can provide vitality to shoreline, improve the water quality and thus enhance biodiversity.
