Latest Opening Arrangements of Hong Kong Science Museum
Starting from 23 September 2020 (Wednesday), Hong Kong Science Museum has partially opened its exhibition facilities.
We will implement special arrangements and precautionary measures to help ensure public safety.

Special opening hours are from 10am to 5pm (closed on Thursdays except public holidays).
Visit by sessions, each lasting two hours, with admission quota:
10 am - 12 noon
12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Daily issue of admission slips before opening of each session at:
10 am; 12 noon; 2:30 pm respectively.
Visitors enter the museum on a first-come, first-served basis.

Children’s Gallery and some exhibits are temporarily suspended.
Public programmes are temporarily suspended (except for online lectures).


  • The hygiene of the facilities will be strengthened by regular disinfection. Enhanced cleansing in between sessions will be conducted.
  • Museum exhibits and facilities have been sanitised by anti-microbial coating (MAP-1).
  • Sanitising mats and alcohol hand sanitisers are provided.
  • All visitors are required to have their body temperature checked at the entrance. Those showing signs of fever will not be admitted.
  • All visitors are requested to wear a mask to protect themselves and others.
  • Children aged under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • The museum will review the situation and adjust relevant preventive measures as and when necessary.
